Woodbank was founded by Darrin Collett in 2004 and initially focused solely on the provision of harvesting and marketing solutions to private forest owners in the North Island.
Since then Woodbank has grown its service base to include general forest management, tropical forest management. Forestry Consulting in New Zealand and off shore.
Woodbank is proud to firmly support local contractors and employees and maintains close working relationships with key forest product customers in their regions of operation. Darrin Collett is a 32 year industry veteran having served a number of years at some of New Zealand’s most prominent forest companies.
Darrin has extensive experience in all aspects commercial Forestry and consults regularly to a number of NGO’s on tropical forest management.
He also holds the national record for heaviest marlin at the Papua New Guinea game fishing club.
Ted Temple
Ted has a dual background in both management of forest harvesting operations, and environmental consulting within the civil construction sector.
Since 1996, he has been in Harvesting Supervisor roles for a range of corporate forestry companies including, Forestry Corporation of NZ, Fletcher Challenge Forests and Carter Holt Harvey Forests.
In the civil construction arena, he has worked as an Environmental Consultant since 2005, where he provides consulting services to construction contractors around best practice management of earthworks operations, specializing in Erosion and Sediment Control. Based in Auckland, Ted operates as Environmental and Procurement Manager, utilizing both his knowledge of roading and harvesting operations, and the environmental requirements of construction projects, to procure and manage woodlot harvesting operations.
Outside of work Ted enjoys shredding local mountain bike trails.
